4.2ManagementTools

a. Thestoragesystemshallprovideafriendlygraphicaluserinterfacetoolwithhighly

securedcommunicationsprotocolprotection(SSL)toensureend‐to‐enddatatransit

andhelpencryptinginformationandprovidingauthenticationloginovermanagement

network.

b. Theuserinterfaceshoulddeliveranintuitiveandeasy‐

to‐usemessagetotheusers

withcomprehensivestoragesysteminformation,administrativetools,array

configuration,andenclosurestatusformanagementofthestorageplatform.

c. ThestoragesystemshallofferSNMPmanagementsupporttomonitorstoragesystem

conditionsthatwarrantadministrativeattention.

d. Thestoragesystemshallincludecommand‐lineinterface

(CLI)orcommand‐lineuser

interface(CLU)supportoveraserialconsoleporttoperformsystemmanagement

tasks.

e. ThestoragesystemshallbeabletouseanLCDdisplaytoconfigurearrays,viewevents,

altersettingsandmanageoverallRAIDfunctionswhiletheEthernetandserialconsole
